I worked with Christie on the concept of my cooking school and cafe in 2015. It was complicated because we were tasked with creating one space for two very different uses. Christie is a wonderfully patient person who really listens to the vision and the concepts and then turns that into real attainable outcomes. We had the challenge of working in a historically significant building with limits on what we could change as well. The kitchen had to be functional as a cafe and also "pretty" enough to invite cooking school guests in. It was a challenge Christie took on. I enjoyed working with her very much on my project and look forward to seeing other projects she completes

I created a yogurt, coffee and smoothie business back in 2011 and over the next few years, it would grew into a franchise chain of over 12 locations in the southeast. I initially took the interior design elements on myself, but quickly realized that I needed the cavalry to come riding in to save me from all of the colors, textures and samples I was drowning in. Enter, Christie Luckenbach. From the minute she walked through the door, my anxiety settled as I watched her take my vision and honor it by assessing what my brand goals were, editing what needed to go, adding what was missing, balancing the entire concept with a blend of coolness and warmth, and most importantly, doing all of this in a way that was replicable to satisfy the needs of a concept that would start scaling quickly. RCSAA is a very complex organization providing a myriad of services out of four separate locations throughout Randolph County. Funding is received through federal grants, United Way, city and county funds as well as private donations. Christie met with staff and community leaders and took on the task of developing separate but complementary color schemes. She was given a budget and the responsibility of selecting and purchasing all of the artwork for all sections of the new facility. The results are amazing. While working with Christie I found her to be very professional, friendly and competent. She also worked with our contractor, Trogdon & Sons, Inc. to discuss and develop materials within our allotted budget. Together we discussed, compromised and finalized a plan resulting in a gorgeous building that will proudly serve senior residents of Randolph County well into the future. I highly recommend Mrs. Luckenbach for any other projects involving interior design. I know she will do an excellent job resulting in a functional and beautiful final product.

Coming from zero restaurant experience to the opportunity to expand into a prime location, we knew design would be the key, we just did not know where to even begin! Christie presented us with her ideas, color schemes, garage doors, and ultimately designs that have had not been seen in Asheboro, NC. We trusted her and her vision and the final product was more than we could have ever imagined. Back in 2010 I came to Christie to advise me on a restaurant concept. She worked tirelessly to try and develop a concept we could sell to investors. The ideas were very current and amazingly tasteful, artistic and on trend. The concept did not come to reality at that time. Fast forward to 2018, she stepped up and helped us take this concept to reality and we opened up Smohk'd. She worked with a very unique space with tons of limitations. I mean, the building was round. With her mind and eye we were able to create a phenomenal restaurant and brand. I would recommend her for any interior design projects. In the commercial space specifically, she has the innate ability to soften up large spaces and expand small spaces visually. There is not a person more qualified for this line of work
